Prof Ian Purves – Chairman and CEO
MBBS, MD, FRCGP, DRCOG, DCCH, RYA Ocean Yachtmaster
Originally a GP, Ian became involved in developing evidence based guidelines and
then setup an academic research centre in which he was Professor of Health Informatics.
To enable him to implement his ideas in 2001 Ian developed his business skills and
setup two companies SCHIN and i4u Ltd.

Dr Sharon Smart – Clinical Director
MBBS, MRCGP, DRCOG, DCH, Dip Ther
Sharon was formerly a general practitioner in UK Primary Care with an interest in
therapeutics. She joined SCHIN’s Knowledge Authoring Team in October 1999 and became
Director of Clinical Knowledge in June 2003.

Stuart Johnson – Finance and Operations Director / Company Secretary
ACMA
Stuart joined SCHIN in July 2003. He has been a qualified Accountant since 1972
and has over 30 years experience of industry in senior financial positions. He has
worked in both SME and major international organisations including De La Rue and
PZ Cussons. In the role of Finance Director he brings strong financial control and
sound business acumen to the company.
